When we use sex toys that don't feel right, we tend to think they're not made for us — that our body is the problem. We want to show that the problem isn't our bodies or our sexuality, but poorly designed products

We chose to name our company Ma Joie — "my joy" in French. We were inspired by Goliarda Sapienza's novel The Art of Joy, which has always been a symbol for us of the freedom to become the masters of your own destiny — in our case, reclaiming your own pleasure

We've been collectively conditioned to see sex as a "performance." In a world where we've learned to measure everything in the name of self-improvement, we can lose sight of the real reason we have sex: connection with our partner
